JERUSALEM, May 29, 2025 (WAFA) – The family of the the slain Jerusalemite youth Fouad Muhammad Alian said on Thursday that they intend to file a lawsuit against the colonist involved in running him over to death.
The family confirmed, in contact with the Jerusalem Governorate, that they reject the Israeli police's claims that the incident occurred for a criminal reason, insisting that the crime was motivated by racism, given that he was Palestinian.
Alian, 30, from the village of Beit Safafa, was killed last Thursday in the Katamon area, west of occupied Jerusalem, after colonists attacked him while he was with his cousin in a public park.
They asked them to leave because they were Arabs, and then pursued them in their vehicles. When they were riding a motorcycle, a colonist ran them over. As they fell, another colonist deliberately ran them over, killing Fouad and seriously wounding his cousin.
The occupation police released one of the men involved in the incident following the crime, claiming that it was carried out for non-nationalist reasons.
