GAZA, May 29, 2025 (WAFA) – Thirteen citizens were killed and others wounded early Thursday morning in Israeli shelling of several areas in the Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent reported that seven citizens, including children and women, were killed when the Israeli occupation bombed a home belonging to the Azzam family and a kindergarten in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.
He added that a man and his pregnant wife were killed, and others were wounded when an Israeli drone bombed a group of citizens south of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. The body of a citizen was also recovered following a previous Israeli shelling of the town of Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis.
Ahmed Awad Sarsour, 13, was also killed, and others were wounded when the occupation bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the al-Barakah area of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondent noted that a number of citizens were wounded by Israeli gunfire near an aid distribution center in the so-called "Morag axis," southwest of Khan Yunis.
Since the start of the occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 54,084, the majority of whom are children and women. The number of injured has reached 123,308, while thousands of victims remain under the rubble.
