Occupation army demolish structures near Hebron

HEBRON, May 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished a house, walls, and a water well in the village of Irfa'iya, east of Yatta, on Wednesday.

Media activist Osama Makhamreh said that the occupation forces, accompanied by demolition vehicles, demolished a 250-square-meter house owned by Jihad Shehadeh Al-Amour, which housed five people. They also demolished the walls surrounding the house and a water well.

Mohammed Al-Adra, director of the Khallet Al-Mai community municipality, said that the occupation carried out the demolition after delivering a notice to the owner yesterday, without giving him time to file an objection with the occupation court or legal and human rights authorities.

He said that the occupation has escalated its repressive measures, including the demolition of numerous homes and the destruction of property in all communities and villages in and east of Yatta. This is part of the effort to pressure citizens and empty these areas of their residents with the aim of annexing more land for the benefit of the colonizers.

During April, the occupation authorities carried out 73 demolitions targeting 152 facilities, including 96 inhabited homes, 10 uninhabited ones, and 34 agricultural and other facilities. The demolitions were concentrated in the governorates of Tubas with 59 facilities, Hebron with 39, and Jerusalem with 17.
