JENIN, May 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Tuesday targeted a group of journalists with toxic tear gas canisters in the center of Jenin.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces fired tear gas canisters directly at a group of journalists at the Cinema Roundabout in the center of Jenin, preventing them from covering the ongoing aggression that has been taking place for 127 days.
The occupation forces stormed a shopping mall in the center of the city and deployed a number of snipers on its roof. They also fired several smoke and tear gas canisters around the Cinema Roundabout and the public parking lot.
Occupation forces were also deployed on Abu Bakr Street in the center of the city market, after raiding the Gulf Exchange office there and arresting two employees. They also raided another Gulf Exchange office located near the Cinema Roundabout in the city.
The Israeli occupation army sent military reinforcements from the Jalameh checkpoint to Jenin, deploying infantry forces on several streets in the city. Israeli forces were also present on Haifa Street, a vital street housing several government institutions, offices, and civil society organizations.
