DOHA, May 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Qatar condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem by extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, accompanied by officials and colonists, and called on the international community to take "urgent and effective action to compel the occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions."
In a statement, the Qatari Foreign Ministry considered the storming a "repeated Israeli attempt to undermine the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque," and considered it "a provocation to more than two billion Muslims around the world."
It warned that "the escalating policy adopted by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the ongoing brutal war of extermination in Gaza, will lead to an expansion of violence and chaos in the region and undermine efforts to implement the two-state solution and achieve comprehensive, just, and sustainable peace."
