GAZA, May 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Nine civilians were killed and dozens of others were injured, including many critically, in Israeli strikes targeting homes and tents sheltering civilians across various areas of the Gaza Strip. The majority of the wounded were women and children.

WAFA correspondents reported that three civilians were killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home in central Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza.

Three more civilians were confirmed killed and dozens others were injured after Israeli warplanes struck a home on al-Maghrabi Street in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

In the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, a civilian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli shelling targeting a group of civilians.

An Israeli drone strike also targeted a group of people west of Deir al-Balah, killing a young woman. In a separate attack, journalist Bilal al-Hatoum was confirmed killed in a strike on the al-Saftawi area.

Additionally, several civilians sustained injuries and burns after Israeli forces shelled a tent sheltering displaced families east of al-Hakar neighborhood in Deir al-Balah.
