Dr. Bara Asfour, Acting President of the Arab American University, announced that the University’s Faculty of Medicine has been awarded official accreditation and a quality assurance certificate for its Doctor of Medicine program. The accreditation was awarded by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (AQACHEI) – Jordan, an organization recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). The accreditation is valid for a comprehensive period of four years.

This announcement came during a ceremony attended by the University's vice presidents, deans of faculties, department directors, department heads, members of the academic and administrative staff, as well as medical students.
