"Two Lives, One Tragedy: Gaza 4-year-old twins killed amid ongoing strikes

GAZA, April 24, 2025 (WAFA) – An Israeli airstrike on Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, where Abu Saif family was living after having been displaced from their own house,  claimed the lives of his 4-year-old twins.

With kisses on the forehead, tender touches on the cheek, and endless tears, the Abu Saif family bid farewell to their twin daughters, Saba and Sana, who were brutally  killed in the Israeli occupation's shelling targeting their house in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City, as part of the ongoing bloody aggression against the Strip.

On one of the nights of genocide against the people of Gaza, Israeli fighter jets continued  to carry out intensive airstrikes on different areas across the Strip, killing more Palestinian citizens, mostly children and women, with nearly hundreds of reported injuries.

On Wednesday night, Saba and Sana were preparing for bed, unaware that their pillows would be the last to embrace their little cheeks.

The bloody bombardment didn't give them time to escape or even scream, as the Israeli warplanes directly targeted their home, collapsing on top of the family. Immediately after the bombing, ambulances and civil defense crews rushed to the targeted house.

All the injured were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital, west of Gaza City, where silence fell, transforming the place into a silent funeral before the two girls were pronounced dead and their parents injured.

In the morning, dozens of relatives and neighborhood residents flocked to the hospital, some in shock, others speechless, as the two young bodies were wrapped in white blankets before being bid farewell and kissed.

Ironically, Saba and Sana appeared wearing the same clothes before their shrouds, held in the arms of their relatives, but they had already passed away.

One of the girls' relatives, who was with the family in the house at the time of the bombing, told the Turkish Anadolu Agency, "The bombing happened around 1:00 a.m. I heard the little girl screaming, 'Help me, Dad! Up above me!' But she was later killed."

She continued, "They targeted our home. We had no militants or weapons. We were just sleeping. What did these people do? Did they carry weapons?"

During the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, more than 18,000 children have been killed, with nearly 117,248 reported injured.

Emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target ambulance and civil defense crews, according to the health authorities.
