Civilian killed, five injured in Israeli airstrike on Al-Bureij refugee camp in Gaza

GAZA, 21 April 2025 (WAFA) – One civilian was killed and five others were injured Monday evening in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat camp, the victims were struck in Block 4 of the camp, near the Grand Mosque. The casualties, one fatality and five injuries, were transferred to the hospital following the aerial attack by Israeli warplanes on a group of civilians in the area.

Earlier in the day, nine Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli airstrikes on Khan Yunis and Gaza City, as the Israeli military continues its relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip.

In a separate development, WAFA correspondents reported that ten Palestinian detainees were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital after being released by Israeli authorities. The detainees, previously held in the Sde Teiman detention facility, were handed over to the Red Cross via the Kissufim crossing east of Deir al-Balah.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the death toll has risen to 51,240 civilians. Around 116,931 others have been wounded.
