RAMALLAH, April 20, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists began bulldozing Palestinian-owned land on Sunday in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah, as part of ongoing efforts to expand a colonial outpost in the area.
Marwan Al-Sabbah, head of the Umm Safa village council, told WAFA that colonists began early this morning leveling large swathes of land located between the villages of Umm Safa and Deir Sudan.
He noted that just days ago, Israeli forces had bulldozed hundreds of dunums and uprooted around 300 trees—mainly olive and grape vines—in the Jabal Al-Ras area east of the village. Now, the bulldozing has shifted to the northern part of Umm Safa, signaling further expansion of the colonial outpost established in the area.
The Jabal Al-Ras region has seen increasing harassment by Israeli forces and colonists, who began razing the land months ago, targeting over 300 dunums of agricultural terrain.
