GAZA, April 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Hundreds of citizens participated in a mass demonstration on Wednesday in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, protesting the ongoing Israeli genocide and calling for an immediate end to the war.

The protesters also demanded that Hamas relinquish control over the fate of the people in Gaza.

The demonstration kicked off from several neighborhoods in the town and marched through its streets, with chants calling for the cessation of Israeli aggression and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza.

During the protest, individuals affiliated with Hamas, wearing civilian clothes, attempted to infiltrate the crowd and raise pro-Hamas banners. However, the demonstrators resisted and removed the banners, forcing the infiltrators to flee.

This protest comes amidst worsening humanitarian and living conditions in Gaza, as the ongoing Israeli genocide continues to claim tens of thousands of lives and cause widespread destruction to the infrastructure.
