CAIRO, April 13, 2025 (WAFA) – The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes targeting the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, describing the attacks as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and all international conventions.​

In a statement released on Sunday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for the immediate cessation of all Israeli attacks on Gaza and for the urgent delivery of humanitarian and relief assistance to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The statement stressed that the current actions by Israel are leading to a humanitarian disaster, for which Israel bears full responsibility.

Furthermore, Egypt urged the international community to take immediate action to halt these blatant attacks on Gaza, emphasizing the need to activate mechanisms of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The statement also called for necessary measures to stop the aggression, particularly in light of ongoing regional and international efforts to resume the ceasefire agreement.
