HEBRON, April 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained on Friday eight Palestinians during military raids across several areas of the occupied West Bank, including Hebron, Tulkarem, Nablus and Jerusalem.
In Hebron, three Palestinians were detained, including a lawyer from the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, who was detained during a visit to prisoners at Israel’s Ofer prison.
Forces also detained a father and his son after raiding and ransacking their home in the village of Al-Majd, west of Dura in Hebron.
In the north, Israeli forces raided the town of Deir al-Ghusun near Tulkarem at dawn, detaining a resident after storming his home and ransacking its contents.
Meanwhile, in Nablus, the occupation forces carried out military incursions into several villages and towns in the south and west of the district, detaining three Palestinians, including two freed prisoners, after raiding and ransacking several homes.
The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the village of Silat al-Harithiy west of Jenin at dawn today. According to local sources, the soldiers caused damage to the gate of the secondary school at the town’s entrance, raided a nearby home and ransacked its contents, breaking its interior doors. No detentions were reported.
Israeli forces also detained journalist Nadine Jaafar at Bab al-Ghawanmeh, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Jaafar was previously detained on March 4 while at Al-Aqsa and was handed a one-week ban from the site.
She was also physically assaulted by Israeli forces in April 2024 while covering events in the Bab al-Amoud area in Jerusalem, sustaining multiple bruises as a result.
