JERUSALEM, April 10, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian minor Thursday sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in the Shufat refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank city of Jerusalem, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
The PRCS said that a 12-year-old minor was injured with rubber-coated steel bullets in the head after being shot by Israeli occupation forces who raided the refugee camp.
It added that the casualty was rushed to a hospital for urgent treatment.
Meanwhile, local sources said that occupation forces broke into a commercial store in the refugee camp and detained a young man.
It the course of the raid, the heavily armed soldiers fired barrages of tear gas canisters, causing dozens of civilians to suffocate.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without the need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
