RAMALLAH, April 2, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian child Wednesday evening was killed and dozens were injured by Israeli occupation forces during their military raid on the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, according to local sources.
They said that the occupation forces stormed the town in several armored vehicles, deployed a large number of infantry units in the streets, and instensivly opened gunfire towards local residents, resulting in the killing of 15-year-old Omar Amer Zayoud, who was shot in the chest.
Zayoud was later rushed to Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, where he was pronounced dead. Additionally, numerous others reported injured due to the attack.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews transported an 18-year-old man who was shot in the hand with live bullets, and another 17-year-old boy who was shot in the foot with shrapnel.
With Zayoud's death, the number of Palestinians who have been reported killed in the Jenin Governorate since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the city and refugee camp has risen to 35.
