SALFIT, March 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces issued a military order today to seize approximately three dunums of land in the village of Hares, located to the west of Salfit in the central West Bank, according to local sources.
Omar Samara, the head of the Hares Village Council, confirmed that the Israeli military ordered the confiscation of two dunums and 791 square meters of land. The affected land belongs to local Palestinian residents.
Samara explained that the Israeli authorities have given the landowners a mere 24 hours to appeal the decision, noting that this brief period is insufficient and part of a broader strategy by the occupation forces to impose facts on the ground.
He urged international and human rights organizations to take immediate action to halt the confiscation, which threatens the livelihoods of local farmers and the loss of significant agricultural land.
