Tulkarm is still under Israeli aggression for the 45th day in a row

TULKARM, March 12, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 45th consecutive day, and on the Nur Shams camp for the 32nd day, amid an unprecedented military escalation that includes heavy reinforcements, a tight siege, and widespread house raids, including detentions and the forced displacement of citizens at gunpoint.

WAFA correspondent said that this morning, the occupation troops forcibly forced several families in Jabal al-Nasr neighborhood of the Nur Shams camp to leave their homes after raiding them, amid intense gunfire to terrorize residents.

Meanwhile, other homes were converted into military outposts.

Additionally, the occupation forces deployed foot patrols around the camp, while the bulldozers leveled another stretch of Nablus Street adjacent to its entrance, destroying infrastructure and civilians' property.

Meanwhile, Tulkarm camp saw a heavy presence of military vehicles and infantry units. Late last night, they set fire to homes in Dabbat Umm Juhar area in the Balawneh neighborhood, with explosions heard, accompanied by heavy gunfire.

The occupation bulldozers began leveling several areas, including Al-Wakala and Al-Hamam neighborhoods, targeting shops, homes, and infrastructure.

Eyewitnesses reported that occupation soldiers robbed shops in Tulkarm camp after bulldozing their doors and vandalizing their contents. They also pursued people who tried to reach their homes, forcing them to undress and abusing them at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces deployed after midnight throughout the city's streets and neighborhoods, including the southern neighborhood, the street near the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, Nablus Street, and the outskirts of Dhenaba Shuweika, Artah, Iktaba, and Al-Azab.

Local sources reported that occupation forces detained Ahmed Raafat Ali Zayet from Shuweika, Muhab al-Attar from Ezbet al-Jarad, and Abdul Rahman Odeh from the Dhnaba suburb, after raiding and ransacking their homes.

Occupation forces also stormed the courtyard of the Cultural Sports Club in the northern neighborhood of the city, which houses displaced persons from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. They were stationed at its gate and surrounding areas, with no detentions reported.

In the Iktaba suburb, occupation forces searched vehicles, specifically in the employee housing neighborhood opposite the Nur Shams camp. They abused passengers and subjected them to field investigations.

Occupation forces reinforced the military presence with heavy machinery and bulldozers in front of the homes they seized on Nablus Street, which connects the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps.

They transformed these homes into military barracks and set up mobile checkpoints to restrict the movement of civilians.

The ongoing aggression on the city and the camps has so far resulted in the killing of 13 people, including a child and two women, one of whom is eight months pregnant. Dozens have also been injured and detained, and more than 9,000 people have been forcibly displaced from Nour Shams camp and 12,000 from Tulkarm camp.

The aggression has also resulted in the total destruction of infrastructure, homes, and shops, which have been completely and partially demolished, burned, and vandalized.
