JENIN, March 5, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp entered its forty-fourth consecutive day amid military reinforcements accompanied by a stifling siege, raids on homes and the expulsion of their residents.
The occupation continues to send its military reinforcements to the vicinity of Jenin camp, and its military vehicles continue to be stationed in front of Jenin Governmental Hospital, and tanks are present in areas close to the camp.
The occupation prevents local and international press crews from entering the camp to monitor the destruction and devastation inside it and cover the occupation's practices against its citizens.
Yesterday, three young men were killed in Jenin Governorate; Jihad Alawneh, 21, was killed after being shot with live bullets in the thigh in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin city, while Ayser Al-Saadi was killed after the Israeli forces stormed the Al-Ghoul building, and detained his body after they shot him, and from the town of Silat Al-Shahr. Meanwhile, Ahmed Mufid Al-Kilani was killed after the occupation soldiers shot him near Homesh checkpoint between Jenin and Nablus.
The Israeli occupation forces withdrew from the eastern neighborhood in the city of Jenin after extensive destruction of the infrastructure, streets and power lines.
Additionally, the occupation forces blew up a residential apartment and forced a number of residents to leave their homes.
The occupation soldiers also detained several young men from the neighborhood before their withdrawal, including the brothers Saber and Islam Al-Jarbou, who were displaced from the camp to the eastern neighborhood.
The director of the Public Relations Department in the Jenin Municipality, Bashir Matahen, told WAFA that the occupation deliberately destroyed all aspects of life in the Jenin camp.
He added that the municipality crews were able to enter to a distance of only 10 meters from the camp, and that this distance revealed very massive destruction in everything in the camp.
Matahen confirmed that the occupation redraws the camp through the coordination operations, widening the streets and closing a number of them, and all the bulldozing and destruction operations that are taking place in the camp neighborhoods aim to end it.
Regarding the losses, Matahen said that it is difficult to count accurate numbers of losses due to the ongoing operation and the presence of occupation soldiers who prevent the crews from doing their work, noting that estimates indicate losses in basic services, streets and infrastructure estimated at millions.
So far, the occupation has displaced about 20,000 residents of Jenin camp who are distributed across about 39 towns and local authorities.
The occupation is working to change the features of the camp through systematic destruction that has affected 120 homes completely and dozens of homes partially.
While the occupation has conducted 336 raids, searches and field investigations, and drones have launched about 15 bombing operations.
The occupation closes all entrances to Jenin camp with earth mounds.
So far, the unprecedented aggression on the city and camp of Jenin has left 30 martyrs in Jenin governorate in addition to dozens of injuries, and the displacement of thousands of citizens from their homes in the camp and a number of neighborhoods in the city.
