HEBRON, March 3, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday issued a demolition order against a school in Masafer Yatta south of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces delivered a demolition order against the Palestine Mixed Elementary School in Masafer Yatta.
In the latest statistics documented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education regarding Israeli violations against education in Gaza and the West Bank during the period between October 7, 2023, and February 11, 2025, the numbers are as follows:
In Gaza, over 12,467 students were killed, and 20,311 others were injured. In the West Bank, 91 students were killed, 563 others were injured and 313 more were detained.
Five hundred and sixty-nine education staff members were killed, and 2,703 others were injured in Gaza. In the West Bank, three staff members were killed, 18 others were injured, and over 157 were detained.
One hundred and eleven schools were completely destroyed, 241 others sustained severe damage, and 85 were subjected to bombing and vandalism, all of which were government schools. Additionally, 89 UNRWA schools were also subjected to vandalism in Gaza. In the West Bank, 117 schools were damaged during the same period.
Regarding universities, 20 higher education institutions suffered severe damage, with 51 university buildings completely destroyed and 57 partially damaged in Gaza. In the West Bank, seven universities and colleges were repeatedly raided and vandalized during the same period.
