TULKARM, February 21, 2025 (WAFA) – Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kmeil Friday warned that Israel has the intent to commit genocide in the northern occupied West Bank refugee camp of Tulkarm.
He stated that the storming by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ‘Defense’ Minister Israel Katz of the refugee camp serves as evidence of Israel’s specific intention to commit further extrajudicial killings, demolitions, and forcibly displace the majority of the unarmed Palestinian population from their houses in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps.
He added that it was apparent that the storming by Netanyahu and Katz of the camp provided sufficient evidence of the occupation authorities’ intent to perpetrate more crimes against the Palestinian people as per their instructions.
He urged the international community and human rights organizations to immediately intervene to protect the Palestinian population who have been subjected to unprecedented aggression for 26 days in the governorate.
