RAMALLAH, February 18, 2025 (WAFA) – The weather today in Palestine is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold in the mountains, while moderate in other regions. Temperatures will rise slightly again, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds and slight waves at sea, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.
In the evening and nighttime hours, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear and extremely cold.
The weather on Wednesday is expected to remain partly cloudy to clear and relatively cold in the mountains, while moderate elsewhere. No significant change in temperatures is expected.
On Thursday, the country will be affected by a very cold polar low-pressure, thus temperatures will drop significantly to become lower than their annual average. Showers of rain will fall in various regions, and will be heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms at times.
The low-pressure cold front effect deepens as temperatures drop significantly to become about four degrees Celsius below the annual average. Scattered rain falls from time to time in various regions.
The PMD has issued warnings about reduced visibility, slippery roads, and the risk of floods in valleys and low-lying areas, particularly in the eastern regions. People are advised to exercise caution while traveling.
