Colonists attack homes, properties of Palestinians near Nablus

NABLUS, February 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Colonists attacked, at dawn on Monday, homes and properties of Palestinian citizens in the villages of Duma, Aqraba and Jurish, in Nablus Governorate.

Security and local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked the village of Duma and vandalized a poultry farm belonging to citizen Thaer Fathi Ibrahim Dawabsheh.

The same sources added that the colonists broke the windows of the house of citizen Ibrahim Fathi Dawabsheh, and threw stones at a vehicle in the area, which led to the shattering of its glass.

Meanwhile, colonists attacked citizens' homes in the village of Jurish, and threw stones at them, which led to the shattering of some of the glass.

No injuries were reported, however.

Colonists also attacked the village of Aqraba, south of Nablus, and assaulted local resident Zahi Fahmi Bani Munya and his sons, in the Afjam area, and stole dozens of sheep.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 2,161 attacks carried out by the occupation forces and terrorist colonists  during the month of January 2025.

In its monthly report on "occupation violations and colonial expansion measures," it explained that the occupation forces carried out 1,786 attacks, while the colonists carried out 375 attacks, ranging from armed attacks on Palestinian towns and villages to imposing facts on the ground, field executions, vandalism, bulldozing lands, uprooting trees, seizing property, closures, and military checkpoints that sever the ties of Palestinian geography.
