Tulkarm: Israeli aggression continues for the 22nd day in a row

RAMALLAH, February 17, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 22nd consecutive day, and the ninth day on Nour Shams camp, amidst a military escalation accompanied by widespread destruction of infrastructure and demolition of homes.

WAFA correspondent said that the occupation forces sent additional military reinforcements of vehicles and infantry soldiers to the city and its camps, amidst a heavy deployment on Nablus Street that connects the Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, coinciding with its seizure of two houses on the aforementioned street, and turning them into military barracks.

She added, quoting eyewitnesses, that the occupation army carried out a large-scale raid campaign on homes in Tulkarm camp last night, and searched them and destroyed their contents, and subjected the residents who remained in their homes to field investigation.

Infantry soldiers were also deployed heavily in the camp's neighborhoods, which they turned into military outposts, while a number of them were stationed in Al-Hadaida neighborhood, while they were randomly firing live bullets and flash bombs, while the occupation bulldozers destroyed the infrastructure in Al-Murabba'a neighborhood in the camp, which is now surrounded by rubble in all its roads and neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces continue the tight siege on Nour Shams camp, which is witnessing a dangerous military escalation, as the occupation bulldozers continue to demolish homes, causing significant damage to the infrastructure and property, accompanied by the firing of live bullets and hearing the sound of explosions.

Yesterday, the occupation forces demolished at least three homes in Al-Manshiya neighborhood on the main street of the camp, including the homes of the slain Palestinian Muhammad Jaber and Imad Al-Din Shahada, accompanied by searches and vandalism operations in the homes while their residents were present, which increases their suffering and the seriousness of the humanitarian situation.

The bulldozing also extended to large parts of the roads in the Dhnaba suburb east of the city, including the vicinity of the Martyrs' Cemetery, near the old mosque, in addition to destroying the Martyrs' Monument, and causing severe damage to the infrastructure.

At the same time, the occupation forces continue to close the gate of the Jabara checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city of Tulkarm for the tenth consecutive day, isolating the city from the villages and towns of Al-Kafriyat, and the rest of the West Bank governorates.
