TULKARM, February 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces bulldozed several roads in the Dhannaba neighborhood, east of Tulkarm, on Sunday, as their military assault on the city and its refugee camp continued for the 21st consecutive day.
Furthermore, according to local sources, Israeli bulldozers destroyed large sections of roads in the neighborhood, particularly around the Martyrs Cemetery and near the Old Mosque. The demolition also included the Martyrs Memorial, severely disrupting the movement of residents and vehicles while causing extensive damage to the area's infrastructure.
In addition to this, the sources reported that the occupation forces also demolished essential infrastructure in the Al-Murabba'a quarter of Tulkarm refugee camp. They further demolished and bulldozed at least three houses in Nour Shams refugee camp, exacerbating the suffering of local residents.
Meanwhile, further Israeli military reinforcements, including armored vehicles, fuel tankers, and infantry soldiers, were deployed to the city and its refugee camps. Soldiers raided homes, turning them into military outposts after forcing families to leave.
At the same time, Israeli forces set up multiple roadblocks across different parts of the city. Notably, they erected barriers on Nablus Street, which connects Tulkarm and Nour Shams refugee camps. Vehicles were stopped, searched, and passengers were subjected to identity checks, further tightening restrictions on movement.
