MUNICH, February 15, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met with Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Saturday. The meeting was attended by the Palestinian Ambassador to Germany, Laith Arafa.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed appreciation for Yemen’s historic and steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. He commended Yemen’s commitment to backing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
The meeting focused on coordinating Arab positions and efforts to counter annexation plans and forced displacement schemes targeting the Palestinian people. Mustafa emphasized the need for joint action to end the occupation and realize Palestinian statehood.
Additionally, the Prime Minister briefed Al-Alimi on his government’s efforts to implement its relief and early recovery plans for Gaza, respond to urgent humanitarian needs, provide temporary shelter, and restore essential services as part of the broader reconstruction efforts.
Al-Alimi reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Palestine and its just cause, emphasizing the necessity of ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state. He also stressed the importance of Palestinian national unity and the unification of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
