On Munich Security Conference sidelines, Mustafa discusses Gaza relief and reconstruction efforts with German Vice Chancellor

MUNICH, February 15, 2025 (WAFA) - Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met today with German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy Robert Habeck today on the sidelines of the 61st Munich Security Conference.

The discussion focused on securing German and international support for the Palestinian Government’s plans for emergency response, early recovery, and full-scale reconstruction in Gaza.

Prime Minister Mustafa reviewed the situation in Palestine and the Palestinian political and diplomatic efforts, in coordination with brotherly Arab countries and friendly international partners, to halt all forced displacement plans targeting the Palestinian people, whether in Gaza or the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

He also emphasized the need to ensure a sustained ceasefire, end Israeli occupation aggression on the Palestinian people, and implement UN Security Council Resolution 2735 and relevant international resolutions to realize the independent Palestinian state.

Mustafa stressed that, alongside humanitarian relief efforts, the Government’s priority in Gaza is to provide temporary shelter, restore essential services, and revive economic activity as a foundation for full-scale reconstruction.

The Prime Minister also briefed Habeck on the escalating Israeli occupation aggression in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, highlighting the continued military incursions into cities, towns, villages, and refugee camps in the northern West Bank.

He detailed the widespread destruction of infrastructure, home and structure demolitions, killings, detentions, and forced displacement carried out by the Israeli occupation forces.
