PM Mustafa chairs meeting to address impacts of Israeli aggression on northern WB

RAMALLAH, February 4, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Emergency Action to address the impacts of the Israeli aggression on the northern occupied West Bank.

Held at the Prime Minister’s Office in Ramallah and attended by representatives of various ministers and government bodies operating in emergency response, the meeting discussed the means to consolidate joint efforts to enhance relief interventions in the northern West Bank governorates, which have been subjected to an ongoing Israeli military aggression for days, forcibly displacing approximately 5,000 families from their houses in Jenin and Tulkarm refugee camps and causing large-scale destruction of houses and infrastructure.

The occupation forces have expanded the aggression to include the al-Faraa camp and Tammun town.

Prime Minister Mustafa instructed the PLO’s Refugee Affairs Department to manage the portfolio of the temporary accommodation of displaced families in cooperation with Arab funds, the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The Committee would meet the emergency relief needs of Palestinians in the northern West Bank governorates and secure the resources necessary for the rehabilitation of infrastructure ravaged by Israeli aggression.
