Foreign Ministry condemns Israeli forces' ongoing crimes against civilians and infrastructure in northern West Bank

RAMALLAH, February 4, 2025 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the ongoing crimes committed by Israeli forces against civilians, their properties and infrastructure in refugee camps and villages in the northern West Bank, particularly in Jenin, Tulkarem, Tubas, al-Far’a camp and Tammun.

The Ministry highlighted the crime of forced displacement, citing the recently forced eviction of 20 families in Tammun and 15,000 people from the Jenin refugee camp, in addition to the displacement of dozens of families in the Tulkarem camp.

It also condemned the destruction of neighborhoods and homes using explosives, leading to the forcible reshaping of Palestinian geography.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry emphasized that these actions constitute blatant violations of international law, international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions. They reflect an official Israeli policy aimed at further controlling the lives of Palestinians and deepening the gradual annexation of vast areas of the occupied West Bank to expand colonies, it said in a statement.

The Ministry reaffirmed that the Palestinian people will remain steadfast on their land, clinging to their legitimate national rights. It warned of the dangers posed by the policy of displacement, which relies on demolishing homes and encouraging the occupation to expand its systematic bombing and destruction of Palestinian existence.

The Ministry held the Israeli government fully responsible for the repercussions of these policies and called on the international community to break its silence and fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities to halt this aggression.
