Israeli military offensive on Jenin continues for eleventh day

JENIN, January 31, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli military offensive in the city of Jenin and its refugee camp has entered its eleventh consecutive day, so far resulting in significant destruction to public and private properties, as well as critical infrastructure.

The ongoing onslaught has so far claimed the lives of 19 Palestinians, including a young girl, while at least 50 others have been injured. The Israeli forces have also conducted a large-scale detention campaign, demolished approximately 100 homes, and set fire to several others, particularly within the refugee camp.

Meantime, Israeli forces continue to carry out demolitions, arson, and bulldozing of Palestinian homes and properties across various neighborhoods of the camp. The military has also reinforced its presence in the city and the camp, deploying additional troops and armored bulldozers.

On Thursday afternoon, two Palestinian young men were shot and killed by Israeli forces in the camp. Their bodies were subsequently taken by the Israeli occupation military.

Simultaneously, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported last night that its medical teams received three women in their fifties who had sustained shrapnel injuries from an Israeli airstrike targeting a building inside the camp. The women were handed over by the Israeli army at the Al-Jalama military checkpoint before being transported to a hospital for treatment.

Additionally, an Israeli military vehicle deliberately rammed into an ambulance attempting to evacuate a wounded individual from the camp. Journalists have also been barred from entering the area to cover the developments.
