Foreign Ministry condemns Knesset’s approval of draft bill allowing colonists to purchase land in West Bank

RAMALLAH, January 29, 2025 (WAFA) - The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset's approval of a draft bill allowing colonists to purchase Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank.

The Ministry, in a statement, described the move as an intensification of Israel's encroachment on the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and an implementation of Israeli laws on occupied Palestinian Territory.

This, it stated, is a blatant violation of international law and an affront to international legitimacy, including UN resolutions, the Geneva Conventions and signed agreements.

It also constitutes a new phase in the plans for genocide, displacement and annexation aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause, stressed the ministry in a statement.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to continuing its political, diplomatic and legal efforts to expose these ongoing violations. It held the international community and the UN Security Council accountable the failure, double standards, and inaction in implementing UN resolutions related to the Palestinian issue.
