TULKARM, January 28, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian minor Tuesday evening sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PCRS).
PCRS reported that a child was injured after being hit by Israeli army gunfire in the chest. He was subsequently rushed to a hospital in serious condition.
Earlier this evening, Israeli occupying forces shot and injured a young man in the face, as confirmed by the PRCS.
They prevented the PRCS crew from evacuating him to the hospital and instead forced the ambulance to transport him to a military checkpoint, west of the city, before detaining him despite he was in serious condition.
Meanwhile, a female journalist was injured by bullet shrapnel in the hand after the occupation soldiers opened live gunfire at journalists as the latter were covering the events in the city.
This came as additional military reinforcements were dispatched to the city and refugee camp of Tulkarm, at a time when the occupation soldiers opened intensive gunfire at every moving person and military bulldozers continued to plow through infrastructure and public and private properties.
The occupation forces have continued a massive onslaught on Tulkarm city and refuge camp for the second consecutive day, imposing a strict siege on the city and the camp, forcing families to leave their houses at gunpoint, deploying snipers, at a time when military bulldozers were plowing through infrastructure and property.
The soldiers obstructed the free movement of and opened fire at ambulances and medical crew, detained a number of people, and besieged the local two hospitals.
