Israeli occupation forces injure 65-year-old man in Jenin refugee camp

JENIN, January 24, 2025 (WAFA) – A 65-year-old Palestinian man was injured today when Israeli occupation forces shot him in the thigh during an ongoing military assault in Jenin refugee camp.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, emergency teams rushed the elderly man to a nearby hospital after he sustained the gunshot wound.

In a related development, local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers have demolished several homes in the camp. The demolitions come after Israeli forces forced families to evacuate their homes over the past three days.

The demolitions are being carried out consecutively, from one house to another. Sources added that the demolitions are part of a broader strategy to clear the way for heavy machinery to penetrate deeper into the camp.

This marks the fourth consecutive day of the Israeli military assault on Jenin, which has resulted in the killing of 12 Palestinians, with dozens more injured or detained.

The attack has also caused significant destruction to the city’s infrastructure and damage to civilian properties.
