JERUSALEM, January 24, 2025 (WAFA) - Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of raids across the West Bank early Friday, detaining at least 16 Palestinians, according to local sources.
In the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, nine Palestinians were detained following home raids conducted by Israeli occupation forces. Residents reported that homes were searched extensively during the early morning attack, causing significant disruptions.
Meanwhile, five Palestinians were detained in Nablus and the nearby village of Burqa. Four were taken from the Khallet al-Iman and Mu'tah Street areas in northern Nablus after their homes were raided and searched. Another individual was detained in Burqa following a similar operation.
At least two more detentions by Israeli occupation forces were reported in the Jenin and Tulkarm governorates.
These detentions are part of ongoing Israeli military assaults in the occupied West Bank, which often involve home invasions, searches, and the detention of Palestinians.
Human rights organizations have repeatedly raised concerns over these practices, citing violations of international law and their severe impact on Palestinian communities.
