BRUSSELS, January 16, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa Thursday stressed the necessity of redoubled international efforts to halt Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
Prime Minister Mustafa made his remarks during a meeting with the European Union Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica, in Brussels.
During the meeting, which focused on the recent developments in Palestine, Prime Minister Mustafa underscored the need for the international community to put pressure on Israel, the occupying power, to allow entry and increase humanitarian aid to the Strip to meet the urgent needs of the displaced population.
He voiced his appreciation to the European Commission for its role in supporting the Palestinian people’s rights and commended the strategic partnership and cooperation between Palestine and the EU.
The EU Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Šuica, affirmed the EU’s commitment to continuing the support of the Palestinian people and promoting the efforts aimed at bringing about security and peace in the region.
Highlighting the importance of the meeting, she said that the meeting was held at a time that reflects the pressing need for more effective international cooperation to address current humanitarian and political challenges.
