TULKARM, January 15, 2025 (WAFA) – A Palestinian Wednesday sustained an injury from Israeli army gunfire in Bala’a town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, according to local sources.
They said that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town, simultaneously while opening gunfire towards the local civilians, injuring one by a live round in the abdomen.
The casualty was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier today, a convoy of army vehicles stormed Anabta town, with the gun-toting soldiers obstructing the movement of the residents and Palestinian-registered vehicles and indiscriminately opening gunfire.
There was no immediate information on any casualty.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
