Prime Minister Mustafa discusses with Denmark’s Foreign Minister efforts to end genocidal war against Palestinian people and enhance relief

RAMALLAH, January 13, 2025 (WAFA) – Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammad Mustafa discussed on Sunday with Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Rasmussen efforts to halt the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and enhancing relief efforts by ensuring the opening of crossings to facilitate the entry of aid to meet the needs of Gaza’s population.

During a meeting at his office in Ramallah, the Prime Minister stressed the urgent need to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 2735, to end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, ensure the immediate and unhindered delivery of aid, the Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, and enable the State of Palestine to fully assume its responsibilities in Gaza following the cessation of the Israeli aggression, as well as prepare for beginning reconstruction efforts.

Mustafa also discussed with Rasmussen the enhancement of bilateral relations between Palestine and Denmark, emphasizing the importance of Denmark's recognition of the State of Palestine. He expressed gratitude for Denmark's support for Palestine and its backing of Palestinian legitimate and inalienable rights in international forums, especially through the European Union, as Denmark assumes the presidency of the EU Council in the latter half of this year.

For his part, Foreign Minister Rasmussen reaffirmed Denmark's unwavering support for a two-state solution as well as for the Palestinian Government’s institutional reform efforts. He also underscored Denmark’s support for the Government in fully assuming its responsibilities in Gaza.
