CAIRO, January, 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said on Wednesday that establishing an independent Palestinian state is the only way to sustainable peace.
The Egyptian president added, during a press conference with his Cypriot counterpart and the Greek prime minister, following the tripartite summit in Cairo on Wednesday, that security and stability must be achieved in the region, a ceasefire must be reached in the Gaza Strip, humanitarian aid must be sent to the Palestinian people in the Strip, and forced displacement must be prevented.
President El-Sisi also stressed that the only way to achieve peace and cooperation between peoples is to implement the relevant international resolutions, adding, "It is time to use reason in order to achieve security and stability in the region."
