Palestinian Presidency condemns occupation's burning of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza

RAMALLAH, December 27, 2024 (WAFA) - The Palestinian presidency condemned the occupation’s grave crime of setting fire to sections of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, which serves over 400,000 residents.

The presidency slammed this attack as part of Israel's ongoing campaign of genocide and displacement against the Palestinian people.

The presidency considered this attack on Palestinian hospitals as a serious and blatant violation of international law and international agreements and conventions that protect medical facilities and personnel during armed conflicts.

The presidency, in a statement, affirmed that this attack is part of Israel's ongoing attempts to implement its plans to displace Palestinians from their homeland.

The presidency held the Israeli authorities fully responsible for the consequences of this dangerous attack, which violates all pertinent international conventions and covenants.

The Presidency called on global health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and other international humanitarian bodies, to fulfill their responsibilities toward stopping this crime against the Palestinian healthcare sector.

The presidency urged these organizations to activate international agreements and ensure the protection of medical staff, patients and the wounded.
