GAZA, December 26, 2024 (WAFA) – Five medical staff members were killed today in ongoing Israeli airstrikes targeting Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, according to local sources.
The victims included Dr. Ahmad Samour, a pediatrician, laboratory specialist Israa Abu Zayda, paramedics Abdulmajid Abu al-Eish and Maher al-Ajrami, and maintenance technician Fares al-Houdali.
Medical sources reported that the continuous bombardment of the hospital by Israeli forces has resulted in the murder of these five staff members, who were working to treat the wounded in an increasingly dire situation.
Since October 5, the Israeli occupation forces have invaded the northern Gaza Strip, unleashing indiscriminate bombings and preventing the entry of food, water, and medicines.
Israel still persists in committing crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in the town of Beit Lahiya, where the hospital is located, according to eyewitnesses in the area.
Kamal Adwan Hospital is one of the last refuges for the sick and wounded Palestinians in northern Gaza and one of the few hospitals still partially functioning in the region, an area that has been under Israeli siege for nearly three months in one of the most brutal attacks of the 14-month-old war.
