Prime Minster Mustafa discusses with Swedish Minister of Cooperation efforts to stop Israeli aggression, enhance relief and reconstruction

RAMALLAH, December, 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa discussed with the Swedish Minister of International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dosa efforts to stop the aggression and enhance relief, development and reconstruction.

The Prime Minister stressed during his meeting with the Swedish Minister, today, Monday, in his office in Ramallah, in the presence of the Minister of National Economy Mohammad Al-Amour, and the Swedish Consul General Julius Liljeström, that the occupation is the primary obstacle to all efforts of development, reform and stability,

"We are making every effort to get out of the difficult reality and security and economic challenges resulting from the continued attacks and measures of the occupation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem."

Mustafa said, "We have an ambitious national development agenda, and since the first day of forming the government, we have worked on an institutional reform program that has received the support of the international community, and we will do our best to stop the aggression, enhance relief and recovery, and advance the economic reality, and create an environment that stimulates investment and creates job opportunities."

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of supporting the efforts of international organizations, especially UNRWA, in light of the fierce attack it faces from the occupation, and not allowing it to be weakened or replaced.

The Prime Minister appreciated Sweden's continuous support for Palestine over the past years, stressing the importance of working together to achieve development, stability and peace.

For his part, the Swedish Minister stressed support for relief and humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip, and pressure to bring aid into the Strip and ensure its safe delivery to all those in need, in addition to rejecting the occupation's measures and settler attacks in the West Bank, and supporting the government's efforts in development and reform.
