Foreign Ministry calls on Security Council to stop Israeli aggression, displacement against Palestinians

RAMALLAH, December, 16, 2024 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council, on Monday, to assume its legal responsibilities towards the suffering of the Palestinian people and take the necessary effective measures and steps to protect the two-state solution.

The ministry condemned the ongoing aggression and displacement that the Israeli occupation forces continue to commit against the Palestinian people for the 437th consecutive day, as well as the escalation in the occupation's massacres and its targeting of shelter schools in the Gaza Strip, the demolition of residential areas and the destruction of the necessities of life in the Strip.

It also condemned the ongoing crimes of the occupation in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, including the crimes of demolishing homes and facilities and the ethnic cleansing of all aspects of Palestinian life in the majority of the West Bank.

The Ministry held the international community fully responsible for the consequences of its silence on the occupation’s violations and crimes, and considered it a complicity that encourages the ruling Israeli right to implement more of its colonial plans and impose an apartheid system on the Palestinian people in occupied Palestine.
