Prime Minister Mustafa stresses need for concerted efforts to realize establishment of Palestinian state

RAMALLAH, December 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa Thursday stressed the need for concerted efforts to realize the establishment of the Palestinian state.

Speaking in a phone call with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas Prime Minster Mustafa, empathized the need for concerted international efforts to realize the establishment of the Palestinian state and implement the United Nations resolution as a mechanism to bring about just and lasting peace.

He also highlighted the importance of translating international efforts into practical steps to implement the two-state solution and foster the Global Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution as a mechanism to reach comprehensive and sustainable peace.

He stressed the need to halt the Israeli genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip, allow the immediate unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip, provide favorable conditions for Gaza reconstruction once the aggression is halted and maintain coordination with the international community to secure the necessary materials and resources.

He expressed his gratitude to the EU for providing financial support to Palestine in 2024 while highlighting the importance of expediting the approval of the integrated package by the European Council and Parliament to help the Palestinian government tackle the severe financial crisis it has been gripped with due to the measures taken by the Israeli occupation, including withholding the Palestinian clearance revenues.

He congratulated Kallas on her new position, which in his words she has assumed as the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine, was becoming increasingly complicated, while affirming the EU’s important role in reinforcing the foundations of peace and stability.
