BETHLEHEM, December, 2, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces uprooted dozens of olive trees in the village of Al-Minya, east of Bethlehem.
The head of the Al-Minya village council, Zayed Kawazbeh, said that the occupation forces uprooted about 150 olive trees in the Al-Baqaa area west of the village, on the side of the main road that connects Bethlehem to its eastern countryside.
The residents of Al-Minya village have been subjecting to ongoing attacks by Israeli army and colonists, amid at displacing them from their lands.
The village lands extend to the Al-Minya desert, whose borders reach the Dead Sea, and whose area is estimated at tens of thousands of dunams, and have recently become a target for attempts by colonists to seize it, who seek to pave a colonial road that isolates the village from its surroundings and serves to connect the colonies to each other.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation authorities have closed all entrances to the village, which has led to a near-total paralysis in the movement of residents, making it almost impossible to reach their agricultural lands or grazing areas.
