GAZA, November 30, 2024 (WAFA) – A journalist was killed on Saturday evening after being shot by Israeli drone fire while present in the courtyard of Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.
WAFA reporter confirmed the killing of journalist Mamdouh Qneita, who was targeted by gunfire from an Israeli army quadcopter drone. The drone fired at a group of civilians, including Qneita, who were gathered in the hospital's vicinity.
This tragic incident comes just two weeks after journalist Mohammed Saleh Sharif was killed by an Israeli drone strike in Jabalia refugee camp, northern Gaza.
According to a report issued by the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate on November 2, 2024, 175 journalists have been killed since October 7, 2023, as Israeli occupation forces continue to target media professionals covering the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 44,363 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 105,070 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
