RAMALLAH, November 29, 2024 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Presidency Friday called for an emergency meeting of the Arab League over the horrific Israeli massacres in Beit Lahia, located in the northern Gaza Strip.
The Presidency called on the League of the Arab States to hold an emergency meeting at the level of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs given the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression, forced displacement and starvation of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, particularly the two separate massacres in Beit Lahia, which resulted in approximately 100 fatalities, mostly women and children, and scores of casualties.
It cautioned against the risks of the continuation of the Israeli aggressive policies designed to separate the northern Gaza Strip from the rest of the Strip and deploy starvation as a method of warfare against Palestinians to displace them from their lands and houses.
It stressed the need for the international community to urgently intervene to compel the occupation authorities to cease its genocidal aggression, allow the immediate and urgent entry of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Strip pursuant to the UNSC Resolution 2735, which calls for an immediate, full and complete ceasefire, and enable the State of Palestine to assume its full responsibilities.
