GAZA, November, 20, 2024 (WAFA) – Medical sources said that the Martyr Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, is still under a tight siege, and no medicine, food, medical staff, ambulances, or any services required by the hospital are allowed in.
The sources added that there are 85 injured children and women in the hospital, receiving minimal health care due to the scarcity of medicines and medical supplies, and there are six very critical cases in intensive care.
They pointed out that there is an increase in cases of malnutrition, as 17 children were able to reach the emergency department yesterday showing signs of malnutrition, and an elderly man died due to severe dehydration.
The sources indicated that there is no international movement or promises to open a humanitarian corridor to bring in medical supplies, surgical medical delegations, food and milk for children, and therapeutic milk so that medical teams can treat cases of malnutrition.
Regarding the catastrophic situation in the hospital, sources reported that the hospital received a distress call yesterday from the Kahlout family after their home was targeted, but the medical teams were unable to save them, and those who survived came to the hospital on their own, and those who could not were martyred.
Meanwhile, several civilians were injured yesterday in an occupation bombing that targeted a children's dormitory on the third floor of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
The occupation forces continue to violently bomb the hospital, which has affected all its facilities, and there are many injuries among the medical teams and patients.
