TULKAREM, November 13, 2024 (WAFA) – Two young men were killed and two others, including a toddler, were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in Tulkarem.
Local sources announced the killing of Mamoun Shraim and Thaer Amara, adding that the occupation forces kept hold of their bodies after withdrawing from the Ezbet al-Jarad suburb east of Tulkarem.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) stated that its crews dealt with the injury of a two-year-old toddler with a bullet fragment in the head and a 30-year-old man with a live bullet in the shoulder.
They were transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, where their conditions were described as stable.
Local sources reported that the injured toddler is the son of Amara, who was with his father when the occupation targeted him with live bullets and shoulder-fired rockets.
WAFA correspondent reported that a large Israeli occupation force surrounded a house belonging to the Shraim family in Ezbet al-Jarad suburb, amidst the firing of live bullets and shoulder-fired rockets toward the house, with reconnaissance drones hovering at a low altitude.
The occupation forces sent more reinforcement to the suburb, imposing a military cordon on all its entrances and preventing citizens’ and vehicles’ movement.
WAFA correspondent pointed out that the ambulance crews managed after a two-hour siege and the withdrawal of the occupation forces to enter the house and discovered traces of blood inside.
Israeli occupation forces barged their way into the city from its western entrance at a time when special forces were detected in the suburb as they continued to besiege a house there.
The killing of the two young men brings the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, to 783, including 167 children.
