Israeli army forcibly evacuates 130 families from Beit Hanoun amid intense bombardment

GAZA, November, 12, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation army forced hundreds of citizens to forcibly evacuate from shelters and a residential area in the town of Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip, under heavy gunfire and artillery shelling.

Local sources reported that Israeli army besieged 130 families inside shelters in the town of Beit Hanoun and the surrounding houses, and forced those inside to evacuate under gunfire.

Eyewitnesses said that the displaced people left under hail of gunfire from the shelters and neighboring houses towards Salah al-Din Street, which connects the north of the Gaza Strip to its south.

The witnesses indicated that the town is witnessing heavy artillery shelling, coinciding with gunfire from the occupation vehicles.

In the same context, medical sources reported that three civilians were killed and others were injured when the occupation shelled three houses belonging to the Abu Odeh, Shabat and Kafarna families in the town of Beit Hanoun.

In Gaza City, rescue teams recovered the bodies of three slain Palestinians after the occupation forces bombed an apartment belonging to the Al-Amsi family on Al-Jalaa Street, north of the city.

Eyewitnesses said that huge explosions were heard as a result of the demolition of residential buildings north of Gaza City, coinciding with artillery shelling west of Jabalia camp, north of the Strip.

On October 5, the Israeli occupation forces invaded the northern Gaza Strip again, under the pressure of continuous shelling and a tight siege that prevents the entry of food, water and medicine.

The Israeli occupation authorities continue their massacres, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to end them immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
