TULKARM, November, 7, 2024 (WAFA) – A Palestinian woman and her disabled son, diagnosed with Down Syndrome, were injured by shrapnel after an occupation drone bombed a site in Tulkarm camp.
The head of the Popular Committee for Services in Tulkarm Camp, Faisal Salama, told WAFA correspondent that the occupation aircraft targeted citizens in the services neighborhood in the center of the camp, which caused the woman and her son to be injured by shrapnel.
He added that Siham Hamdan, 57, was injured by shrapnel in the head and was transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital by Red Crescent ambulance, where her condition was reported to be stable, while her young son, Hassan Muhammad Hamda, 30, was injured in the head and is still bleeding inside the house due to the occupation preventing the ambulance from entering the camp.
Salama pointed out that the camp is currently in a very difficult situation, as the occupation forces are firing their weapons intensively and randomly, supported by drones that have not flying over the area since the first moment of the raid, describing what is happening in the camp as a fierce war.
The occupation forces and bulldozers stormed Tulkarm camp, specifically the neighborhoods of Al-Muqata'a, Al-Balawneh, Al-Madaris, and Hanoun Square, and began to demolish the infrastructure and citizens' property, and placed dirt on the doors of houses and shops.
The occupation forces deployed snipers in the tall buildings in the camp and its surroundings, amidst the firing of live ammunition at everything moving, while raiding a number of citizens' homes and Al-Shuhada Mosque in Al-Murabba'a neighborhood.
No detentions were reported, so far.
The occupation forces sent more military reinforcements towards Tulkarm and Nour Shams camps, and imposed a siege on them, amidst the sounds of explosions heard in the area.
