SALFIT, November 6, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli colonists attacked farmers in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit, on Wednesday while they were picking olives.
The head of the village council in Yasuf, Wael Abu Madi, told WAFA that colonists from the Neve Nehemiah outpost, under the protection of the occupation forces, attacked farmer Naim Muhammad Ubaid and seized his mobile phone and olives in al-Hariqa area south of the village.
They attacked his family and threatened to kill them if they returned to the area, and forced them to evacuate their lands.
Abu Madi added that the village recorded another attack in al-Khallah area north of the village, where guards from the Tafuh colony attacked farmers, including Mohammad Izzat Yassin, Mohammad Malik, and Issam Farhan, noting that they were expelled from the area.
Additionally, Abu Madi stated that colonists attacked citizens' vehicles this morning while they were passing through the entrance to the village of Yasuf.
It is noteworthy that the village of Yasuf has been subjected to harassment and acts of violence by colonists during the past months, which included closing the entrance to the village, attacking vehicles, stealing olives, and causing the electricity to be cut off from the village several times.
